Senior Pastor in Akwa Ibom State, Christ Embassy, Emeka Nnabuko, has said that the idea behind Reachout Nigeria Open Table Tennis Competition is to build spirit of patriotism in Nigerians.He said organising championships besides providing other live touching projects, are parts of the church’s corporate social responsibilities to the environment.
Nnabuko, who spoke through Deacon Ayo Femi in Uyo on Saturday while inaugurating 2013 5th Reachout Nigeria Campaign in the state, said over 30 states and some countries in West Africa have indicated interest to participate in this year’s event in Akwa Ibom.
Tagged, “Celebrating Our Possibilities,” he said the theme has aptly provided inkling that everyone has potential in themselves to be successful.Nnabuko said, “We have recognised our corporate social responsibilities to our environment. What we do, apart from their economic and environmental benefits, they also have spiritual impacts.“The Reachout Nigeria Open Table Tennis Competition has become an annual event that seeks to bring athletes from length and breadth of this country and the west coast of Africa.
“Apart from impacting our nation with God’s word, the Reachout Nigeria Open Table Tennis Championship is also used to inspire the spirit of patriotism among our nationals.”
