Negative reactions has continue to thrill the zoning system in Uruan local government area as Southern Uruan people decried what they described as aprupt marginalization of the people in political offices in the state.
In release signed by the International President of Uruan Supreme Youths Association, Comrade Michael Joseph Okon, Northern Uruan one and two have occupied over nine positions both at State and local government level, while Uruan South-East has three positions, Uruan Central occupied three critical positions and the South-South Uruan is left with no political office.
” Uruan has eleven wards and four political zones. All three zones have major stakeholders in the state conversation except ward 4,5 and 6 which make up the South-South Uruan political zone.”
He said the South-South Uruan has strong and committed youths and elders with pedigree and political values that should be brought onboard for justice, fairness and equity sake.
While recalling that the cardinal point of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration is political inclusion, Mr. Okon described the situation as outright mischief which must be resisted at all course.
He said fairness and equal representation must be given strict attention, noting that it was politically unjust to zone both the chairmanship and House of Assembly positions to central Uruan while the South-South Uruan is left with nothing .
