SHOCKING! Cletus Bassey, Sylvanus Ukafia, Ors Politicize Church -Endorse Udom For Second Term

Cold war is currently brewing in Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, over alleged endorsement of Udom Emmanuel for a second term as governor by Penticostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN.
The Sensor authoritatively gathered that PFN led by Rev. Sylvanus Ukafia alongside state Chairman of Christain Pilgrim Welfare Board, Archbishop Cletus Bassey had yesterday during a training/prayer conference held at Insight Bible Church in Uyo endorsed Governor Udom Emmanuel for second term, a situation that has caused serious war in the Christian body as a greater majority are said to have disagreed on the endorsement. PFN is a bloc in CAN and members are said to be seriously fraternizing with the State Government at the expense of other blocs. The bloc is also said to be benefiting more.
Some of the Christian faithful who spoke with The Sensor expressed anger over the meddling of the clerics into politics instead of taking care of the flock.
It was also gathered that CAN leadership in the State led by Rev. Dr. Ndueso Ekwere has not supported the endorsement, thus, fueling the looming crisis that may consume the Christian body in the State anytime soon.
It would be recalled that Archbishop Cletus Bassey since he was appointed as State Chairman of Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, after he lost out as State Chairman of CAN, has not hidden his desire to campaign for Udom’s second term as governor at any given opportunity. The yesterday open endorsement was the climax of the campaign.
When The Sensor contacted the State Chairman of CAN on phone, one of his aides that answered call, denied knowledge of the endorsement saying that as far as CAN is concerned, there is no knowledge of endorsement”, the aide said.
