The Principal Partner, Novone Consult Ltd, Arc Ezekiel Nya Etok has assured Nigerians especially those in Akwa Ibom that the first phase of 30 units of sustainable semi-detached bungalows of the National Social Housing Project would be completed in March next year.
Arc Etok while conducting Journalists round the expansive estate which is located opposite the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, tasked indigenes of the State especially Civil Servants to take advantage of the rare opportunity to assuage their housing challenges.
The project which he stated was the only Social Housing Project in the country with 100 units of 3 bedroom semi-detached bungalows, would be gated with complete onsite facilities including effective security and other infrastructure.
Arc Etok, a renowned housing advocate said his intention was “to ensure that as much as 40-50% of the units have Civil Servants as beneficiaries where they will enjoy certain concessions, and also be availed of the National Housing Fund Mortgage facility He added, “This will be one of the few estates that come complete with onsite infrastructure and ancillary facilities. We are also in talks with NDDC and AKSG to ensure that the estate is a gated estate with the best of modern facilities.”
While adding that the State Government and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) have indicated interest in the said project, assured that the project shall be fully completed in 12 months, where three categories of beneficiaries, including those that balloted transparently ten years ago, Civil Servants and the Public shall benefit with price value of Seven Million, Seven Million, Five Hundred and Eight Million, Five Hundred thousand naira respectively.
