We Haven’t Banned Keke Operations – Charles Udoh


Akwa Ibom State Government has debunked claims that it has banned the activities of Keke Operators in the State.
In a release signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh said that the State Government in its magnanimity, earlier this year; commenced a tax -free scheme for Keke operators as part of efforts to boost the economy of the transport sector in the state.

The release added that “ongoing falsehood perpetrated by opposition that the same government; that not too long ago offered palliatives to Keke operators is contemplating making a volte-face to announce a ban on Keke provides a sad commentary on the malicious intent of opposition in the state”.

Mr. Udoh tasked indigenes of the Statr to rise up in one accord and reject a retrogressive opposition that is founded on lies and falsehood.
