Bassey Etienam Decamps To PDP, Pledges Support To Udom


A former member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Barr. Bassy Etienam has decamped to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party pledging to support the State Governor for his second term bid.
Etienam who was received by Uruefong Uruko Chapter Chairman of PDP, Mr. Okpo Edeke was in company of his supporters who also joined him back to the Party led by the PDP Chairmanship flag bearer, Mr. Umanah Efunbru.
Etienam who also contested to represent Eket Senatorial District nod that he was moved to go back to his first love after having observed the outstanding performance of the State governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel which he said is a far cry from what is ongoing in the APC who are yet to fulfil any of their campaign promises with sidelining members being the order of the day in APC.
In his response, the  Uruefong Uruko Chapter Chairman of PDP, Mr. Okpo Edeke while welcoming Barr. Bassey Etienam and his teeming supporters back to the PDP assured him that the Party is big enough to accommodate and also pledged to carry him along in the scheme of things.
It would be recalled that in the preceding months, top notch members of the  APC have been decamping to the PDP including former commissioner, Mr. Samuel Effanga, former House of Assembly Lawmaker who represented Nsit Atai, Mr. Darby Udo while a former commissioner Dr. Nseabasi Akpan is said to be decamping also to the PDP in Nsit Ibom today
