A frontline politician and 2015 governorship aspirant, Prince Owoidighe Adiakpan has confirmed his position as a staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), even after the fallout of the 2015 PDP primaries in the state.

Prince Adiakpan made this confirmation in a brief interactive session with newsmen during the commissioning ceremony of Ebenezer Diocese of the Mount Zion Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, Uyo.

According to him, “The crisis looming in the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the state and national level will not give the party a soft landing beyond 2019, hence the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a stronger party for all to embrace.”

He however  decried the decay in education and health sector in Akwa Ibom State, saying that Governor Udom Emmanuel has a lot to do to lift the state to the destination of greatness. He urged the governor to be focused and work with the right caliber of people for the betterment of the state.

Prince Adiakpan said there is no good school and hospital in Akwa Ibom state that is fully equipped with adequate facilities as well as qualified trained personnels. His words, “Quote me anywhere, we don’t have one school in Akwa Ibom, be it elementary, secondary or tertiary institution. Take a walk to one of these schools and see the quality of teachers, the number of students/pupils in the class, not to even talk about the ICT section.”

He called on the governor to give prompt attention to education and health sector in the state as well as empowering the citizenry to fain for themselves, adding that with the presence  of good road network in the state, the airport, 5 Star  hotel, the state will need more infrastructure like 24 hours power supply, gas etc. for investors to come and make the state a destination of choice.

The Ex-governorship aspirant however, charged Akwa Ibom people to give Governor Udom Emmanuel some time to put the party and the state in a right perspective, while urging them to pray for the will of God to be done in 2019.
