Akwa United coach, Justin Tenger is confident Akwa United will escape relegation from the Nigeria professional football league. The Uyo-based team lost 1-0 to Enyimba in their week 34 encounter in Aba. Akwa United currently at the bottom on the log with 43 points from 34 matches played.
According to the coach, “It’s obvious that our position on the table isn’t quite favourable but I am optimistic that we will avoid relegation by the end of the season, “Tenger told Sensor Sports Desk. “We still have four games to go and I am hopeful we will get some positive results to remain in top flight”.
He lamented the mistakes they had made in the season, saying they had been working hard to correct them. Akwa United will play host to fellow strugglers, Nembe City at the Uyo township stadium during the mid-week match day 35 of the GLO Premier League encounter.
