30th Anniversary: AK Govt, Citizens Hail Buhari For Federal Presence… As FG Floats Business Clinic

Exhibitors and participants at the weekend’s MSMEs Clinic at Ibom Hall, Uyo, were thrown into wild jubilation as the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo stormed the venue to inspect products put on display at the exhibition floor.

Osibanjo, in company of Gov. Udom Emmanuel on Saturday evening, had a pleasant time savouring the State’s ingenuity and sense of industry as manifested in the inventions and products displayed at the Ibom Hall lobby.

The exhibition was aimed at creating the atmosphere for goods and services produced by Akwa Ibom State business community, and it this featured prominently in a 2-day Nationwide Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Clinic organized by the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment for viable enterprises in the state.

The Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, who represented Governor Udom Emmanuel at the kickoff of the Clinic Friday, could not hide his admiration for the Federal Government for giving Akwa Ibom State a sense of belonging as well as making the federal presence felt in the state for the first time in 30 years.

“I am speaking from the point of view of an eyewitness because I came with this state 30 years ago.

“This is the very first time that Akwa Ibom State is feeling the direct impact of the Federal Government.

“Everything that has happened in Akwa Ibom State; everything that is seen and made available in the State…, all these, we do on our own.

But today is the very first time in our 30-year history that the Federal Government is showing us that we are part and parcel of this country by bringing this programme here,” he said.
