The newly sworn-in Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Chapter of All Progressives Party, Mr. Ini Okopido, has declared his mission to dislodge Mr. Udom Emmanuel from the Hilltop Mansion next year.

In an electrified atmosphere in Uyo yesterday during the inauguration of APC executives from the state to ward levels, the tough-talking new party Chairman firmly stated his commitment to sweep away the government of PDP at the state level while promising to hand the state over to President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019.

Okopido called on all members of the party that participated in the recent elections of the party executives to come together as there was no victor no vanquished.

He said all members of the party have the onerous task to take over power in the state, and further announced that he has assured the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odige-Oyegun, that Akwa Ibom will swear-in APC governor after next year’s general elections.

“We are expected to involve all the members. Call everybody together and let’s rise in unison and unity with prejudice to take over power. The National Chairman asked me: “new chairman are you sure you can take over power in Akwa Ibom? I told him with the permission of the party members in Akwa Ibom State, you will come for swearing-in of our new governor,” he enthused.

Mr. Ini Okopido inaugurated the state, local government, and ward executives yesterday, charging them to get along with their fellows who contested same positions with them at the recent state congress, adding that his dispensation is set for effective administration with work is starting in earnest.
