2019 Guber: Esit Eket Stakeholders Pledge Nomination Form For Udom


As the intrigues and build up towards 2019 Governorship election gathers momentum, political leaders of the People’s Democratic Party in Esit Eket Local Government Area have pledged to purchase the nomination form for Governor Udom Emmanuel to contest for a second term in office.

The leaders made this known recently during an end of year get together and presentation of gift items to Party faithful held at the Council Secretariat.

The event which had in attendance the political leader of Esit Eket, Mr. Benji Udobia, the member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, Dr Usoro Akpanusoh among other political gladiators saw the splashing of N3.2m, 370 bags of rice and chicken to members of the Party in the different Wards.

In his remarks, Dr. Usoro Akpanusoh noted that it was necessary to thank God for the numerous successes recorded by the present Administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel which has rubbed off on the Local government.

While thanking the political leader for showing direction, he noted that the converge was also a platform for reconciliation and tasked youths of the area to shun acts that could land them in trouble.

He tasked indigenes of the area to continue in their support for the governor to complete his two terms just as other Senatorial Districts have completed theirs.

In his remarks, the political leader of Esit Eket, Mr. Benji Udobia, commended the lawmaker for his effective representation while also praying for an improvement in the economy to make way for more dividends to be provided by the State governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel. He thanked the State governor for his consistency even in hard times he has continued to pay salaries as at when due.

On his part, a former lawmaker who represented Esit Eket Federal Constituency, Barr Bassey Abia, jnr, tasked the Party faithful to continue to cooperate with the leadership of the area for more dividends.
